When necessary we engage the services of specialist consultants. For examples our finance department is overseen by a reputable firm of with considerable experience in insurance accounting, George Andrews and Partners.

YOMBO BAMMEKE – Managing Director
Yombo is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute, London he also holds a B.Sc. degree in Insurance from the University of Lagos and M.Sc. in Insurance and Risk Management from CASS Business School.
He has over 25 years experience in the Insurance industry as an insurance and reinsurance underwriter and also as an insurance and reinsurance broker. His area of interest includes Enterprise Risk Management, ART and has been involved in lecturing in these areas. He has attended many seminars in Risk Management and Project Management and is also a graduate of the Advance Management Program of the Lagos Business School.
ROTIMI ABIDOYE – Senior Manager (Technical)
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and a Masters degree in Business Administration from Federal University of Technology, Akure . He is a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute Nigeria (CIIN).
Rotimi has functioned in both Underwriting /Claims Reinsurance department of ACEN Insurance Company from where he joined UAIB as a Broker in 2002. As an experienced manager with well over 15years in the Reinsurance Market, he is conversant with Reinsurance practice in African Markets. He has participated in several Insurance & Reinsurance Courses, Seminars and workshops both locally and internationally.
LEONARD MADZIVIRE – Senior Manager (Technical)
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the National University of Science & Technology- Zimbabwe and he is Associate of The Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII).
Leonard has had over 17years experience in insurance and reinsurance in Zimbabwe, Botswana, Tanzania and Nigeria. He has covered both sides of the market as an underwriter and as a broker. He is very interested in sharing knowledge in matters relating to reinsurance and has attended many seminars and workshops in reinsurance and insurance. He joined UAIB in March 2012.
DAMOLA OLUBUMMO – Senior Manager (Admin & HR)
He holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) degree from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife and an Alumni of University of Huddersfield, U.K with a Special Executive Masters in Human Resource Management (SEMP HRM). He holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Business Administration; He is a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) London.
Damola has participated in various continuous development programs (CDP) courses in Project management & Insurance/ Reinsurance both locally and internationally.
HELEN AKINBOHUNJE – Manager (Finance & Accounts)
She is a member of Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria with a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting, Post Graduate Diploma in Management, Master Degree in Finance, and Accounting Technician Scheme (ATS) from Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria. She has over ten years of Insurance and Reinsurance Accounting experience; she joined United African Insurance Brokers in 2001.
Prior to joining UAIB, Helen began her accounting career with Lion Of Africa Insurance Company as Agency staff in the Accounts Department. As an experience Manager she is exposed to Insurance and Reinsurance accounting practices. She has also participated in both Insurance and Reinsurance courses, seminars and workshop both locally and internationally.
